Graduated in Nursing and Midwifery Sciences and in Modern Literature with a historical focus; graduated as a dance movement therapist. Nurse since 1978, in 2005 he was appointed as Associate Professor at the University of Torino and is currently full professor in Nursing Sciences.
He is the president of the nursing degree and the master degree in nursing and midwifery sciences, and director of various post-graduate specialization diploma. He has taught teaching organisation, professional ethics and deontology, history of care, nursing care methods, nursing research and nursing caring.
He has published over 300 publications in the healthcare, educational and medical humanities fields. He has presented or moderated at over one hundred conferences. Ha is member of the scientific committee of the journal "Nursing care and research". He has been part of the Knowledge Community of the Cultural Welfare Centre since 2021.
